66 brakes not releasing

I took my 66 non-power brake car for a short drive the other day and after driving for a short period of time I noticed the brakes did not seem to be releasing properly. It was hard to know if this was due to a single caliper or something more "universal". The problem would sort of come and go if I kept hitting the brake pedal, but, needless to say, I went home by the most direct route and don't want to drive the car again until I get this figured out.

Any thoughts on how to diagnose and fix the problem?

Rubber brake line "hourglassed" internally, sliders on caliper sticking, emergency brake not fully releasing...
Best get the rear in the air and do a physical examination.

If the car isn't driven regularly your calipers could be the issue with internal caliper piston bore rust and degraded brake fluid. This may cause the caliper pistons to stick in the bore.
