I have seen several different shades of what owners are calling Lynndale Blue which got me thinking about this paint color and others. With AO Smith producing and painting bodies as well as the Saint Louis plant, could there have been different suppliers of paints back then that indeed did look different from car to car once they were merged together in Saint Louis? I believe there was more than one supplier of paint, so did both plants use the same? Just curious.

On a side note, JohnZ has discussed the Color Standard that was at the assembly plants.
It was 'supposed' to be used to address some form of consistency in the paint colors.
