Frank, thanks for the info. I have done all the above. Did have a leak coming down from the valve covers but i fixed that. don't see any oil coming down the back of the block. the only place I see it is coming out of the whole in the inspection cover. As you know on a 327 1965 car that cover doesn't come down like it does on a C1. so how do you know if it is the rear main seal. Like I said the rear main seal was replaced but I have heard that these sometimes are not good. I don't remember seeing any groove in the crank when it was replaced. do I have to pull the pan to see if it is leaking or is there another way. I have the blue devil but was afraid to put it in my engine. I guess it is safe, it worked for you. I wouldn't care so much but I am going for the PV. As you know one drop of oil and you fail!!! dp appreciate your help.
