Harry, Sportsman can go in or out, owners' choice. if parked inside, they are in for the duration of the event just like flight cars.

Interesting, at one of the last regionals I was at, as I recall, the sportsman that were parked inside could leave.

I was suggesting, to make room, park them outside.

Harry sportsman are going to be outside. With other regional and national not getting the car count as in the past we set a number we felt we could get from what we were seeing and got room for that.
With that said if people would not wait till the last couple of weeks to sign up we may have been able to get more room. Area next to us was rented a few weeks ago if we had car signed up sooner we could have got more area. I plan or help plan a number of events for the chapters I am in. A lot of times it is very hard to plan when everyone waits till the end to sign up for events. I am sure I am not the only one who faces this problem.
In the future if you want to do a event sign up early and make it easy for the person doing the planning and you will get entered.

Harry we have 120,000ft2, space is not an issue, fire marshall inspection (battery disconnect, 1/4 tank of gas, taped / locked gas caps) is more of the issue

we will have a space outside, in front for sportsman who are going to be driven during the event.

Many or most owners invest a lot of time and often some serious money to prepare a car for judging. In getting ready we are often waking the cars up from winter for an early spring meet like this one or waiting on a small part or item that is important to present the cars in the best overall condition we can. Trust me it is never a last-minute fire drill for most of us.

I realize, respect and appreciate all that you and the good people do to organize and put on a meet for us owners. When the registration deadline was extended it implied you still needed cars to fill up the space you had. Maybe that was when you had the option for more space, but had not secured it?

Regardless of what happened, it just felt that a warning sign of being full and out of room came a little too late to a few of us who were still scrambling to get a car ready and make arrangements to support the IN Chapter and effort you mention that your team made to put on a regional event in our area.

I sincerely hope the meet is a huge success and look forward to seeing you and my NCRS friends at another meet later this year!
