    '72 LS5 VAC position

After taking care of the shaft issue (noted in another post) that I had, I'm putting the distributor back in. I do know that I did not have the distributor clocked correctly and would like to correct that. The AIM does not clearly show the position of the VAC, just the window on the cap. The nipple on the VAC was against, or very close, to the shielding bracket. I do think that was incorrect. I "think" that the nipple on the VAC should be pointing toward the passenger side of the car at a 90* angle to the center line of the car. Is that correct?? Anyone have a pic of a properly installed distributor they'd like to share? Thanks!

Looking down from above with the front at 12 o'clock, VAC points between 3 and 4 o'clock, just past the shielding bracket.
