When I did my '69 N14 adaption on my '70, I had the attached AIM sheet, and using that, this is what it looked like. I'm not sure this was 100% correct, and I too am interested in what the original factory install detail was for the 1969 N14.

When I inquired several folks who owned original '69 w/ N14, several indicated that the insulation had disintegrated over the years. One restoration shop told me that I should fiberglass over the area to protect it. It would seem odd to me to have the factory just leave the foam insulation exposed like that in such a vulnerable area, but the AIM appears to be silent on any cover or protection post modification. (from my '70 AIM with the lead sheet having the word "CANCELED" stamped over it.)Bill Bertelli
