Dash pad crack repair or replace?

Hello all, i found a thin split in my right hand dash pad. Has anyone ever repaired a small split? Or should i replace the pad? The pad overall looks good and does not fell hard to me.

A professional might pull it off, but I've never had any luck attempting it on my own with one of those kits.
Here is a split in the headliner of my 61 Corvette hardtop before it was fixed by a pro and afterwards - and the fix held up for 8 years until I sold the car. There is a HUGE wholesale auto auction not far from me and an entire cottage industry has grown up around it touching up paint, refreshing interiors, detailing cars and doing mechanical work. That's where I found "my guy".

I had a cut in my dash pad fixed by a fellow who went around restaurants fixing the vinyl seats in booths and chairs. 40 years later you still can't find where he fixed it.

Find the guy in your area who specializes in vinyl repair. They typically have a mobile service. Ask a reputable used car dealer who they use.

I found the guy in Dallas and he repaired several cracks in a C3 front console. It's a mottled beige so matching was even more challenging. It looks virtually perfect and he saved an impossible to replace part.

This takes skill so it won't turn out great if you try this yourself for the first time.
