1968 tilt wheel
Have a buddy looking for a 68 tilt steering column. Anyone know where I might find one? Thanks in advance

Believe 68 only offered the N36 telescopic steering wheel. There are aftermarket options available that will work. It is also possible that the 1969 and up Corvette tilt/tele option from GM may work. -

No tilt on 68 telescopic only 69 tilt tele will fit but has a ign lock on the column where 68 is on dash. Probably aftermarket columns out there.Comment

Correct no tilt offered in 68.
Our only option was an Ididit column.
I just installed one in our 68, Went in nice. Electrical was a breeze.
Minor issue with the rag joint You have to grind off the original studs to install the new joint. New joint kit and firewall seal were from Corvette Central.
Couldnt reuse the OEM screws that mount the steering wheel and horn ring to the new billet hub as the hub threads were a different pitch thread. Found Stainless hex heads at HD to solve that problem.
The OEM horn contact leg was not long enough. I simply used the red wire in the column as it came with a solderless female spade terminal. I pushed the terminal on to the L shaped end of the OEM flat brass leg and tucked the wire out of the way. Its actually a clean job.
