Anyone know where I can get a 63 repro ash tray with AAC logo since LIC was sold? Thanks in advance.

if LICS had them in stock, you can call ZIP and ask if they have gotten them out of the LICS loads yet. ZIP should be responsive to you...

The 63 ash tray is unique to 63. The tang for 63 is a straight piece not with two prongs as the one pictured. I have not seen a reproduction of the 63 by any of the vendors.

There was just one on eBay that sold for $18.00. But, there was not enough evapo-rust on the planet to clean it up.

A few years back I ran a survey with original 63 owners. Turns out both ash-trays were available from start of production. The sample was so small that I could not prove anything. I believe the single tang ash-tray was discontinued, because it was too difficult to install and remove.

Harry- Your comment triggered a memory of something I once read... so I went looking. I didn't see a TSB, but found an article in the March 1963 issue of Chevrolet Service News. Not exactly the same issue, but maybe related... check out the PDF attachment:
