Thanks guys. Paid more than expected as I guess the Chicago area isn't the most frequented by the major carriers. Oh well. It is what it is. As long as it arrived in one piece it's all good. Thanks all. ARA

i sold a restored all original 57 chevy 210 post with its original 250HP engine and rochester etc etc. it was picked up by an independent transporter. guy took about 10 minute to inspect it and noted no damage to the car.when it got to the new owner, he had his secretary go out to the transporter, . she didn't inspect it, signed the receipt and the guy unloaded the car. a day or two later, i got word that the top on the 210 was creased. my guess it bounced while on way to florida. since the receipt was signed, the transporter refused to pay to repair the damage. my copy of the "no damage" receipt took me out of the equation. Thoroughly inspect your puppies when they arrive. mike mccagh

And then take a look at the price of diesel fuel...
I think the cost is spiking daily.

Ara - just paid $2150 Houston to Long Island on Passport Transport to bring home a '69 Mustang CJ. Great service, trucks, drivers, back office and communication. Email me and I'll loop you in a note with my point of contact.

In May I used Passport Transportation to bring home our '69 L89 Corvette for $1625 and it was inoperable. They were the only known national carrier to touch an inoperable car. Great value added service from a tandem driver team that was in the business for 30 years. I'm moving towards only using Passport or Intercity Lines. The horror stories from the other brand name carriers makes me sick.
