69 Radiator Seal

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know about the VIN when the radiator seals went from no push pin to push pin foam radiator seals? By way of reference my 9/9/69 L46 car (VIN 28910) did not have the push pins to support the foam. I thought a car with a VIN 28910 would be classified as "late".
I recently replaced my core support lower cross member, restored the original radiator and installed the "late" radiator seal foam with push pins. After taking a second look I noticed that my original radiator seals did not have the push pins, ugh!. So if anyone knows the transition please reply.

Thanks EJ, that is helpful. My original radiator support had the holes for the pins but the foam did not have holes for the pins.
