Power Steering Belt width

A technical question on the actual width of the P/S belt for a 1970 LT-1.

My Chassis & Body Parts Catalog dated 1-1975 indicates the 9433738 belt as "15/32 - 43 1/4" whereas my later 12-1978 indicates a slightly smaller width "7/16 - 43 1/4". There was another source (can't recall where) indicating 3/8" wide.

Curious which is correct? My Quanta obtained P/S belt appears to be 3/8" wide. Some other suppliers list replacements as 7/16" and others as 3/8".

The belts with part numbers 9433xxx were about 1973-74 replacements for earlier belts. Most, but not all, of the belts of this series were 7/16". Some were 15/32". Offhand, I don't know what the 9433738 width was and I'm 7,000 miles from my references right now so I can't check.

However, no belts of the 9433xxx series were, as far as I recall, ever originally used on pre-1973 Corvettes.
