Question on R & R Rear Bumper Bolts For 1966 Corvette

Will be replacing the rear bumpers bolts. Now got the bolts with the proper head markings("TR"). I presume that
there where more then one supplier for this installation so there would be different head markings involved. Just
replacing the 10 Bolts that go to the bumpers. Will not replace the bolts for the various brackets as they look all
original to me. Question> Looks like I will have to drop the rear exhaust panel to make the job easier. (Not bad in this case
as it is a side pipe car.) Can this job be done without taking off the tire carrier? Comments Please>Larry

Originals seen are TR, M, C, RBW, & perhaps more. The head size were 5/8 as opposed to the present day 11/16.
Also check your AIM since two sizes, 1-1/4 & 1-3/4, were used on my 64. Remember to check the number of TOTAL points allocated to
the line item since the wrong head size may not be enough to cost a point (have not done the math, so you must check)

Larry you do not have to remove the tire carrier. If you have a lift it is even easier

I swapped all my rear bumper bolts without removing the tire carrier or the undercar exhausts on my 63...but I have long arms and fingers.
But be aware that the repro TR bolts (on right) are distinquishbile from originals due to thinner headmark font and other issues.
