3746258 Oil Pan diagram and application C1

Does anyone have a GM diagram for the 3746258 oil pan? Photos? I read online its applicable to 1957 airbox cars.

Mike thanks for the PM. Here is the article where I am seeing the 3746258 part number referenced. Wanted to get some experienced folks to comment.

Joe Lucia or anyone with a parts book, do you recognize this part number above and in the attached .pdf?

      Thanks!

the illustrations in your pdf aren't good enough to discern if these pans are pass car 4 quarters or vet 5 quarters. mike

Gary, thank for Loren's article. It's well done and a "keeper"! Wonder where Roy Braatz got the part number in his article? Searched the forum but no hits. No hits online that I can find either.

Joe, thanks for chiming in while on vacay!

                    John,

Never have found the part number in Braatz's article, in any P&A's.

Per Ken Kayser, the BP part # for the 57 Corvette oil pan was 3735642.

As Joe Lucia would tell you, there were parts used exclusively in production and they were not available over the counter.

Is the pictured 3736615 oil pan on Loren's article page 3 (page 12 on solid Ground) actually a 57-59 corvette pan? I always thought that was a chevy passenger pan, at least from my own amateur research and cross referencing with other experts on this board.

                        Good catch Ian,

IMHO, Loren had the part number correct 3736615, which is a 5 qt oil pan and the photo is of part number 3735640 the passenger car 4 quart oil plan.
