    C2 Clock Bezel Replacement

The bezel on my 63 clock separated from the clock body. I removed the clock and after inspection, I'm disappointed in how the bezel was installed. It's one small screw and some glue in the other two locations. I can re-glue it back on, this is not the original installation, or install a new bezel.

Does anyone have instruction with pictures or a video of a bezel replacement? If it looks simple enough, I'll give it a shot.

    Thanks

    Harry,

I had the same issue with my 63 clock bezel and the fix was three small screws, I don't know if they were 6-32 or 4-40 or 8-32, I was just happy I could use the original bezel.

The clock bezel still seems to be holding fine.

Thanks Tim, The restorer, about 18 years ago, used one screw and glue. I tried some JB weld and that held for about 60 seconds. It pulled off as soon as I installed the rear clips to hold it in place. I took it apart again and there were many holes drilled in the bezel, I imagine where small screw were attempted to be installed and failed.

UPS now has the clock and it's on its way to be repaired.

You did the smartest thing Harry, the clock restoration people probably deal with this often.

Harry, I use #4x1/4 Phillips sheet metal screws, one in each of the three places that the bezel is peened to the case. I have one to do tomorrow so Ill take some pictures for you. Scott
