    Hood release cable 57

So shopping for a hood release cable on a 57 vet, Looking at corvette central website, they state "V-Groove Cable" correct get 461045, other wise the other option is 461010. 60 dollar difference. What do they mean by "v-groove"? How would this affect the NCRS score if we get the wrong one? What do I need to look for to determin if its "V-groove?"

Not sure Michael, but I may know the difference. I went through this several years ago.

I think the V-grove is to retain the handle so it is always horizontal and the lettering readable without having to turn your head 90* or more. The cheep e I bought from them the handle is not indexed and is free to turn from the pressure of the inter cable and acts like it is spring loaded, again from the inter cable. I found it to be unusable. But that was years ago, so you might just call them and ask them just what the difference is.
