1963 Glove Box Lock Cylinder Replacement

I recently acquired a 1963 convertible and found the glove box catch housing isn't catching anymore. The tab in the rear that compresses and unlocks the door has broken and fallen out. I want to reuse the lock cylinder as it is keyed with the car and have ordered a new catch housing. Can anyone share how to get the lock cylinder out of the old catch housing so I can move it over to the new one. I couldn't seem to find anything in the archives that helped.
