OK, I give up, what is this? NCRS National trinket

We received this key chain with the attractive NCRS embroidered logo, and this gold tool, in our goodie bag when we registered for the Palm Springs National. What is this tool used for? I can't figure it out......ToolNational.jpg

That is exactly what it is. Guess you didn't use it at Palm Springs.

OK, thanks all, I never heard or even thought of such a thing, as most of my door handles are knobs anyway and not levers, but now I can see how it would work. True Reba, we did not use it in Palm Springs, luckily the place was pretty relaxed and not locked down and tense like some other places have been.

Well, I will admit I have used a pen I carry in my pocket for that early in the plague......

Why does it have that raised flat on the end?

That's what I first thought it was supposed to be. My dentist keeps telling me I shouldn't use my teeth to open beers when I'm cruising around.

As far as opening doors with what appears to be a plated piece of steel, I think my hands will be much less likely to scratch the door handle.

Very true Duke, and we all must recognize the progression of our ages. Our teeth are not what they used to be as teenagers opening bottles, as Clint Eastwood once said: "A man's got to know his limitations....."
