57 horns, finding P#

    57 horns, finding P#

    the 57 I picked up seems to have the correct horns, BUT how does one see the p#s .

    339 & 340 part numbers are flange rim of the horns that the mount bolts to.

      Gary, I thought the 57's were 339 and 340? I think 759 and 760's are also used in 57. Not sure where the cut off is. From my experience the 759 and 760's are plentiful, however the 339 and 340 are very difficult to find. Gary's photo shows what appears to be the correct bracket as well.

        Went to check the JM, it states at approximately VIN 1700 the change over occurred from 759/60 to 339/40. It also has a typo on the horn illustration page where it indicates 539/40, when the photo of the horn shows 339/40.

          yes John, you're correct 339/340. Just titled both the photo & JM incorrectly 12 years ago. Good catch!

            guess I need to rephrase my question as I was wondering how one can see the #s with the horns on the car. I was told that they do judge the #s during the judging process.not sure how they do that ? Thanks
