I just purchased a 95 Corvette with 1000 original miles on it and everything works as it should except for
the power outside rear view mirrors. Both mirrors move side to side just fine, but they won't move up and down. When
I put my ear up to them while hitting the switch you can hear the motor clicking for up and down but the gears are not
turning. If I could buy new motor assemblies I would just buy them and replace them, but you can't buy anything but
used parts for these mirrors. Has anybody out there on this forum figured out a way to fix this problem? Surely I am not
the Lone Ranger regarding this issue. It is very odd that an almost zero mile car would do this. Perhaps the grease on the
gears inside the motors has turned into concrete from old age and lack of use?
