    72 LT1 renovation question

I procured the seat adjustment shim bag (in the attached photos) shim bag 2.jpgshim bag 1.jpgfrom David Sokolowski. David assured me that it is OEM correct for our 72 LTI, however it is inconsistent with the information in the 6th edition of the TI & JG. Looking for advice.

Fred I brought a post to the top with all the details on everything related to the shims and bags.

No problem. I did find this question responded to (you included) on this site sometime in 2008. While the bag I have (from David Sokolowski) appears to be new (no stains or grease spots), I've known David along time (helped us with may hard to find correct OEM parts) I tend to believe him the bag is correct. He assures me that the 4 shims are also correct, unfortunately he does have any more OEM washers. David told me the OEM washers were die cut (approximately 1" OD 1/8" thick. seat shims and bag.jpg

Hi Don, after I posted my question I did come across the earlier discussion. I guess the issue has almost been beaten to death. The shims & bag I have came from David Sokolowski, he assures me they are OEM correct. Our bag is the correct dimensions, however it has a yellow draw string (with the same yellow thread stitching). Obviously ours is clean (no grease marks or stains) but I trust David when assures me it's OEM correct.

thank you for the photo, our LT1 is a matching #'s convertible ac car (26759). We recently completed a body off restoration (too rough to keep as a survivor), getting prepared20210608_171216_HDR.jpg
for an upcoming SoCal Chapter judging event.
