1995 ZR1 ASR/ABS brake activation

I have a 1995 ZR1 and while I was at highway speed the brakes (front, I think) suddenly activated and the car slowed to a stop. The brakes were locked solid but after I turned the engine off and let it sit for about 20 minutes they released and the car could be driven again. This has happened twice. Any ideas?

Robert it almost sounds like you have a frozen caliper or brake hose issue. Can you see any discoloration in any of the rotors when you peak through the opening in the wheels? If your able to put car on a lift or jack each wheel and spin the wheels one at a time and see if any of the wheels has excessive drag.

you need to look at the master cylinder. needs to be rebuilt. the piston is not moving as it should. after it happens, let it sit for a bit and it will free roll......drive for a bit and it locks back up.
I have a 1990 I bought new and had this problem 4 years ago. installed a rebuilt kit in the master and it went away.
