Does the loop in this photo reasonably mimic the size and orientation of the loop as it appears on unrestored C2 small block cars? Or in other words, would the loop in the photo pass muster with most mechanical judges?

        Thanks,

        Gary

I wanted to show the uncropped image from the Corvette Forum which shows an extra, non-original connection in the oil pressure line at the right to make it clear that image does not show an unrestored line.

Gary, i have the same line that Harry shows in his picture from LIC it fits perfect in the engine compartment and requires a little bend thru the hole in the park brake bracket and then into the gauge

Do the bends in your line look anything like what is shown in the AIM (my image #1), i.e., three, 90-deg bends in the portion of the line closet to the engine block connection?

              Gary
Not really. There are no nice curved bends like the Pic #1. It appears my oil line was "hand formed" from engine block to firewall. . But at least the gage works very well.

I would be suspicious of this picture as the part I circled in red does not look normal to me.

                  Harry,

That is exactly why I posted #19. What I think the person did with the line in that photo is create something that they thought resembled the description in the Judging Guide.
