Need help in checking '71 for sale in Dallas area

I'm interested in a Bridgehampton Blue '71, of the nice driver variety (currently listed in Driveline). I'm in New Jersey and the car is in The Colony, above Dallas; I'm not too crazy about flying down there at the moment, so checking to see if anyone close to there would like to take a look for me, for which I would pay a reasonable fee. There are hundreds of organizations and web sites for people who love automobiles. I don't think you'd find too many posts like Mark's no matter how long you looked. This is a special organization.

Well, the car wasn't quite was I was after, and a big thanks to Mark for enabling me to make that determination by taking the time to thoroughly check it out, take numerous pics and make many notes.
Hopefully I can return the favor some day Mark. Maybe if you find another C4 up this way (I happened upon your post on that adventure).

The '71 in Dallas is an example of a car caught by economics. It's a nice, mostly original base engine coupe with 60,000 miles. Its chassis, interior, and exterior would score well in Bowtie judging. But the suspension bushings are failing or badly cracked, most fluid seals are leaking and there's a list of other items needing attention. Charlie could buy it and have it judged as-is. But he wants a driver and the cost of repairs to make the car safe plus the asking price significantly exceeds market value.
