Engine hood mounting plates

Hello, would any experts on a 1957 model be able to chime in regarding this question. Where the front hood mounts to the fender apron is there a metal support piece on the other side of the apron to secure the front hood mount to??

you are correct. i didn't finish--damn computer is brighter than me. anyway, the hinges fasten to the core support on each side. are you questioning the hood prop which does have a nut plate riveted to the inner skirt. sorry for confusion. mike mccagh

they were blacked out when the skirts received their blackout. mike
