91 corvette hood hinge paint

Need to touch up the paint on my hood hinges. Down to bare metal. What prime? and what black paint? Krylon 1613 Semi-Flat Black?

Quite a coincidence - I just started work on my hood hinges (also a '91) yesterday! The hinges show spots of rust, and were one of the few items that were commented on in a recent Flight judging. I am curious about your situation and how you are approaching it. I put some Evapo-Rust on yesterday, and was planning on cleaning it off then sanding them down with some fine grit paper. After that, I will mask them off then hit them with some satin black paint. I will let you know the paint choice I made after I get out to my shop and see what I picked up.

Please let me know what you did for prep, what you landed on for paint, and how it turned out.

I have used this paint before and it's a great match and levels nicely. Just ensure it's the satin finish. Works great on the exhausts also.
