Hi all. I need to completely replace the distribution head, bellows etc for my windshield washer pump. Have looked at some recent posts, but none seem to mention which parts supplier is best for judging. BTW, thanks to Don Hooper for the excellent post on the replacement process. Since I am in Canada, LIC doesn't ship here anymore and hoping to get to Carlisle if the borders opens, but that is a long shot. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Sven. Have you checked out Corvette Depot in Windsor? I think they get a lot of their stuff from one of the big U.S. guys like Paragon or the like. I have been using them for a lot of my stuff over the last year or so for my project mostly to save on shipping. I don't know what they have in terms of what you are looking for but I have found that on occasion their prices are less than the U.S. suppliers even after calculating the exchange rate. Shipping is a lot less expensive as well, e.g. $17 Cdn. vs. $42 U.S for a small package via UPS. The only caveat to using them is if they do not have what you need in stock you may have to wait for a while for them to get it in from their supplier. Norm

You are not going to be able to buy a new correct valve for a 63 unless you find used, or NOS. The one piece, semi transparent part was made by Rochester. It was prone to failure and they began using a 2 piece Trico manufactured valve starting in 1965. Yours may still be good? More than likely, the bellows is bad. That part is available by most vendors in reproduction.

Hi Brian. I have attached two pics of the part and I believe this is the original housing. Am I correct? When I opened it up, it was clogged up and I noticed that the gasket with the three attached o-rings shown in the reproduction kits was not in my housing. Do you know if the three ring gasket is only required in the reproduction kit? The large bellow was then placed in the circle around the rear of the housing and held in place with a spring. It appears that the metal discs holding the rubber one way valves in place can be carefully removed and the rubber valves replaced. Was confused with the reproduction kits as they show a two piece housing, but, as you explained, that was due to a replacement by Trico. Any info is appreciated. Sven

That is the correct Rochester valve. The 3-ring o-ring is not required. The valve will seal with the bellows fully seated in the groove. Maybe try and clean your valve and give it a try. The rubber check valves from the new valve are not a proper fit without some massaging of the metal inserts.
