Bolt on knock off after market problem

Went to remove the rear wheels. The wheels are 1964 after market bolt on knock off wheels. Generally simple. Jacked up the car. Removed the center cap, Removed the locking pin. Proceeded to hit the spinner knock off, in the correct direction. It did not move and would not move. I hit it harder and harder with the lead mallet, with no results. I finally hit it so hard that the five 1/4 bolts that hold the hub on actually sheared off. The aluminum hub is now in a vice and I have squirted oil on it and still no movement after hitting it as hard as an 80 year old can. I have also used a heat gun to warm the knock off. No luck. I have a feeling when I had a friend help me installed these he treated them like real knock offs. Too tight.
Any ideas on how to loosen and remove the knock off from the aluminum hub.

First of all, you should NEVER be beating on the spinners on a bolt on knock off. They are strictly ornamental as the lugs are holding on the wheel with 60 lbs of torque. HAND tighten the spinners snug, insert the pin, and you are done.

The 1/4 inch hub bolts supplied are only grade 1 and I actually had some break due to corrosion and not torque when I did a recent tire change. Highly recommend replacing ALL those bolts with a better quality grade 8.

If the spinners were all beat on tight, I don't see any way to remove them other than reversing the process and dealing with any broken bolts on the hubs. If any of those 1/4 in bolts break, the only thing holding the remaining stud is possibly some corrosion as the tension is gone. I got mine out using a small vise grip, a little heat, and some penetrating oil working back and forth a few times and then twisting out. The spinners and hubs are directional, so again double check you are going the right way. A left hand drill bit could also be used.

The wheels appear visually just like factory knock offs but they blot on with 5 lug nuts. After they are bolted on to the brake drum an aluminum hub is secured with five, 1/4 inch diameter screws. Then the the chrome dome and knock off is attached in the traditional way by spinning it on and tightening it with a lead hammer.

They all are removed by a light tap CCW. They should NEVER be struck like original KO's!

The spinners and hubs are left and right specific for a reason, designed to "tighten" directionally. The right side tightens CCW, the left side is opposite.

              I don't think so with the bolt-ons.

There is a LH and RH spinner. Same a real knock-offs.

OK I understand how to remove and replace the bolt on knock off wheels. My problem is one of the spinners has been over tightened and so far no amount of beating with a lead hammer will loosen it. I have even applied heat to the outer side of the knock off and ice to the center. I was hoping someone else might have over tightened their knock off and successfully loosened it or had an idea for me. Thanks

If they are like mine (America's Finest) the spinners all loosen CCW even though they are marked Left and Right to appear correct. Are you trying to remove CCW?

I'm confused. I just went to my 63 with bolt on knock-offs. I pulled a spinner on each side. The LH side comes off CCW, the RH side comes of CW. The spinner adapter is marked Left and right. They were from Corvette America. As I mentioned earlier, they are the same as my real knock-off wheels.

Obviously the ones from Corvette America and America's Finest Corvette are of a different design.

My comment above was based on my buddy's 63 swc that came with a set of bolt-on wheels. Both sides are CCW despite what is indicated on the spinner.

Yes, the Corvette America ones I have are directional left and right specific.
