C2 Frames: Vette Product of Michigan vs J D Corvette in CA

I don't find anything new in the archives. Does anyone have advice on the used (restored) frames from JD Corvette in California? I know VP of Michigan would be best but not sure I want to invest $9M to get one for our 65 Coupe.

Catalog price is ~$6500. Mine (convertible) cost a little less two years ago...

Vette Products of Michigan makes a frame that is nearly perfect. Probably made by the original craftsmen.

Would recommend calling and seeing what the NCRS price would be.

I agree,Vette Products is the best choice. The downside is about a 4 month wait but well worth it.

One good thing about Vette Products frames is that they are really custom made, to a degree. You can order a removable cross-member, or, for instance, add ‘65 features to a ‘63 frame to allow later parking brake configurations or a big block. If a piece was on any mid-year frame it can be on yours, if you so desire.

Have decided to go with a VP of Michigan frame. Thanks.

In spite of the wait, it will be worth it! Absolutely everything fit perfectly on mine! You will need to drill the front to rear brake line clamp holes though (pretty easy to do)
