Anyone know of a good locksmith? I hear Pete Lindahl has stopped due to problems. Please no Jesser. Thanks in advance.

Re: Corvette locksmith
If you just need a key cut or a lock re-keyed to match a key you have; there is nothing magical about it.
A local locksmith re-keyed my 63 spare tire tub lock to work with my current ignition key in 5 minutes for $9 4 years ago.- Top

Re: Corvette locksmith
I'm having the same problem. I've called a couple local locksmiths and they won't help me. They won't cut blanks purchased elsewhere and they don't have the correct blanks in their own inventory. They say the blanks purchased elsewhere are cheap and ruin the blades in their cutting machines.
I emailed the Lindahls and they sent me a key they made from a picture I sent of my only key. Unfortunately it opens the glove box and kind of works in the ignition. It doesn't however work in the doors. My old key works in all the locks.
What are my options?- Top

Re: Corvette locksmith
Luckily I had the original door locks, used the code off them, Pete Lindahl had an original key with knockout still in place, my locksmith neighbor put new tumblers in the locks and and set them all the same, all is well.1964 Red FI Coupe, DUNTOV '09
