    Bloomington

    Hello All,
Since no one else has, I will start the conversation. I am very curious to know what you all think of the latest edition of Bloomington Gold from the standpoint of the indoor displays, the swap meet, and all other aspects of the show (aside from the awful windy conditions).

Being indoors is a definite plus.
It's a shame that high cost prohibits keep them from placing cars in the arena itself (see photo), but I understand.
Lighting in some areas is poor, but I've yet to judge a car anywhere without needing a flashlight at some point anyway.
The south lot area seemed like it should have been able to accommodate overnight trailer parking, but I may have been mistaken about how spacious the lot actually is.
Hotel proximity is much better than when the event was at the speedway. I walked both ways on Friday.
Having vendors in the basement instead of on the cars' level is far below optimal.
The awards presentation leaves a lot to be desired: no audio, milling people, etc.
Seeing cars go across the Yard of Bricks is a much better visual image!
All in all, I believe being indoors is worth the other minor glitches.

Unfortunately, Bloomington Gold has regressed to a very mediocre show.

They need to bring it back to Illinois!

        Not Granddaddy by any means

I hate that it was empty. I wish they would take it back to Bloomington (or another smaller town).

No crowd it was completely dead

I was very disappointed not a lot of cars. It was so bad the vendors shut down at 2:00 on Saturday

Wish they would scale back a little and bring it back to Bloomington IL where it should be.IMHO>Larry
