    1969 427 Valve Cover Bolts

For 1969 was the TR on the valve cover bolts the large or the small one?

Just checked 47K mile 69 427 corvette which has it's originals and they are the small TR.

Are the bolts for the spark plug shield grounds the same as the other bolts?

        Terry,

I understand the judging manual says that that change occured I believe in July of 69 but it is in the 67 AIM as well. So if they had it in 67 I would think they carried it forward in 68 & 69. After all why would they implement it and then remove and re-implement it. It does not sound right, I would think they would implement the change and carry it forward until it was no longer needed.

I am with you, and seeking evidence.

I think you need to be specific on the TR font height, I have at least 4 versions, including a TR wher the letters are very close together...

The 69 I spoke of had what seems to be all it's original vc bolts but one was missing. The original covers were found and I restored and installed them recently. Next week I should be able to check it again and as I remember, all but the one replaced bolt had small TR on them. This is a July car.
