    68 steering arm 3928651 GM3. Is the GM3 a casting date.

    No. It is just a pattern number. Several identical patterns were used to make molds for the castings.

      Well thats good all I can find for a replacement so far is a GM1. Thanks for the help.

        The GM #3928651 was a unique-to-1968 Corvette forging. So, regardless of the forging number, used pieces came off of some 1968 Corvette.
