Hello:
I have been going over my most recent acquisition (67 Coupe) and was inspecting the brake master cylinder. As stated in the judging manual there should a stamping ("DC") on the non-painted semi-cycle on the forward part of the casting.
I inspected the semi-circle and did not see a "DC" mark. I was considering stamping it there myself ... then I looked one more time, in different light and the "DC" is there!! It is VERY faint --- I rubbed a bit of white chalk on it (so it can be wiped off later) and took a photo. See attached photo. The black arrows indicate the "D" and you can just see the "C" to right of that. All other aspects of the master cylinder are perfect.
My question is this: just depending on the light this stamping visibility comes and goes.... does anyone have any experience with this in judging?
Thanks!!!
Bill
