    Heater blower motor non A/C

New 68-69 JM says the Blower motor is supposed to be PN 5044720 with "Delco Remy Dayton Ohio USA" stamped. I have found 5 different motors dated mid to late 68 with a different PN and stamped "Delco Remy Rochester NY".

My 69 is a late 68 build and in need of a blower motor. I would have used the fall date 68 one but the PN and plant stamping do not jive with the JM.

Does anyone know if the JM is just wrong or what?? Can't seem to find one that lines up with the JM and has late 68 date.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Mark,
I also have questions whether the GM 5044720 is the correct blower motor for my early '68 Corvette that was produced in October 1967. The original, still mounted in the car, has a GM Part 5044555 that seems to be a carry over from the 1967 model year.
Maybe Joe Lucia or Gary Bosselman will see this and get us straightened out.

I'd like to be of assistance but right now I'm 7,000 miles from home and my references. I'll be home in about 2 weeks. Believe it or not, I do not have all these part numbers memorized-----some, but not all. If no one gets it figured out before then, I'll check on it then (I may need to be reminded, though).

        Joe,
Thanks for the immediate response, it is much appreciated. Have a great time! Hmmmm 7,000 miles away...probably not North Korea.

In the meantime, I'm going to call Gary Bosselman to get his take.

Thanks guys. I still trying to determine what motor is correct. Not sure if the JG is 100% on this. Hope Italy was great. Tuscany some day...
