    Exhaust manifold guidance

I am helping a friend with a 66 small block. On the exhaust manifolds, the lower area where the pipes mount to the studs have seen better days and are crumbling. The car is not a matching number car. We are seeking decent quality functional exhaust manifolds. Numbers and appearance relative to originality are unimportant. What's the best source?
BTW, this car was at one point owned by Shirley Muldowney's husband. Perhaps the manifolds started falling apart a quarter mile at a time.

It should be quite easy to locate a pair of 2" rams horn manifolds.
I probably have an extra set of good clean mid 60's 2" rams horns without smog ports if you need a pair.
If interested I will check on Thursday when I go over to the parts stash, if I have some you can have them for the freight.

      James,
that would be much appreciated. The owner has had his 3rd bout with cancer, and we are trying our best to do what we can to help him enjoy the car with whatever time he might have left.

Aftermarket manifolds are available from Jeg's, Summit, Speedway. Brand new, fairly priced and look almost original.

A friend used a set of new manifolds from a vendor like this on a 71 LT-1. They cracked apart on the same day.
However, there are some decent new manifolds from the Corvette vendors. These same ones "may" be sold by others, but I thought I'd throw out a word of caution.

I have a 2" rams horn pass side off a pass car judging 64 283. there are no choke cool air holes drilled in this manifold. its appearance is similar to a 57 Pass side FI manifold but won't pass for a 57 FI manifold. its your if u can use it. I'll even cover shipping. mike mccagh
