    1963 4-seater split window

That's right - a good firend with too much time on his hands and I collaborated on resurrecting a novelty aftermarket item from Yenko:

Frankie, if you remove the the rear lites you’ll have the only split rumble-seat...as well as usable headroom.

My first memories of riding in a car are the Rumble seat of my Great Grandfather's Model A roadster when I was just over 3 years old. Now a split window rumble seat vette would really be cool!

Hi- Didn't Chevrolet toy with the idea of a stretched 4-seater 63 coupe?-Seems like I remember a picture of a prototype?

            Frank that rumble seat's cool.

I remember that black 4 place one on a front or back cover of a Restorer magazine years ago.

Is that a fuelie? What ever happened to it? Crushed?

It's got FI emblems for sure. I have no idea what its fate was. All I have is a few pictures of it.

Yeah - I've got several conceptual drawings somewhere of a 4 seater design including this one. it's just wrong on so many levels though.
I remember riding in the backseat of a 66 Mustang fastback - man that was claustrophobic enough!

seat belts not needed in back seats
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
                      I hope you dance

Sorry Frank that we highjacked your thread.

                        So back on initial topic.....
Are you going to market your back seat? We'll need to assign a RPO to it if you do. How about RPO 004? (002+002).

I believe those photos are a styling buck, not a complete running car, and I remember the story is that some senior 14th Floor execs were invited over to check it out. One of them, maybe Fredrick Donner, got in the back seat and needed assistance from others to extricate himself, and that the end of the 4-seat Sting Ray.

That's my impression also. With the benefit of 20-20 hindsight, I think we can all be grateful Corvette did not go the way of the 4 passenger T-bird.

That said, I'll be the first to acknowledge it doesn't look that bad.
