Have a question that a friend asked me about the defrost vent on dash
It rattles when driving and the heater is in off position
This only happens while driving

If I remember correctly the speaker cover has two of the four studs that go through this vent to secure it in place. If the speaker was replaced and they did not secure the vent via the speaker cover studs properly, the vent will rattle. If your car does not have AC, it is possible to get up there and secure the vent properly with only pulling the glove box. With AC, it's a more difficult task.
