There is a new posting on the CF stating that a SBC casting #3858174 is for 64 - 67 blocks. Would someone who is allowed to post there make the correction please?

Re: C. Forum Thread -3858174 Casting
Thank you for the other responses. My flashback was to the '70s, my pursuit of '62 #13918; if I had been at that information INSTEAD of knowing Mike Ernst to wrangle with over my T10 code of "WF_22" and what it meant. As I recall, we waited until Spring for Mike to roll under his car and determine what he had thought was an "F" was a tilted "E". Many true roads after that.- Top

Re: C. Forum Thread -3858174 Casting
I lurk; my manufacturer has cast doubts on the life of my "back" arrow and my "delete" key if I spend too much time there; I wonder about who is making the $$ on a site that pedals Volvos; is there a secret definition to "Curated Content Editor" that is other worldly - but I think of the Bill Cluppers, John Amgwerts, Mike McGaghs, Mike Ersnsts and the other hundreds who can not all be named/honored for paying their own way and expenses to make the mistakes and get to the good stuff. A search for a correct casting # cannot be sent down a dirt trail to an Isetta.- Top

Re: C. Forum Thread -3858174 Casting
I posted on that thread and I am the one who posted 64-67. now I just did a quick internet search for Chevy SB casting numbers and that is what came up for that block. is there more to it then what I found. instead of just pointing out whats wrong can't we focus why it was wrong and what the real story is. I am willing to admit when I am wrong if pointed to why I was wrong- Top

Every time someone posts ther they're adding hits and value to IB. I dropped out years ago over a disagreement with CF policy trying to sell a deceased friends 5 Corvettes and parts, who also was a member. They wanted 300 bucks a month. I thankfully declined. Then a new member tries to sell his neighbors 2 Corvettes, I reported it and they said it was ok he just mentioned it. I said goodbye. Been back there lately though to help out when I can. I keep it technical and avoid the rif-raf and fluff.
So to get increasing hits they come up with CCE people who have no clue what a Corvette is and make flagrant mistakes and foolish comments. They probably know more about those Volvos.

Re: C. Forum Thread -3858174 Casting
Richard, interesting info on the C Forum.....Thank You. Will have to adjust to "lurk" but not enter; Vinnie needs a block captioned "Seconcdary Forum Income" for the Board; Restorer article titled "Where do I go for My Commission?"; FINALLY an explanation for CCEs; and an entrant appears on our Board claiming to be the respondent on the CF wondering where it all went wrong......all together now...
