First - let me say, the title of my post and the question I have has been discussed before ------ but I have yet to find an answer in this forum. That said, can someone kindly confirm which seat rail cut out pattern is correct.
I have seen an illustration created by John Kennedy attached to and referenced in numerous threads - copy attached for your convenience.
Note that the cut pattern in John's diagram has rectangular cuts in along the length of the rail cut out - about mid way. Compare Kennedy's cut pattern to the current Judging Guide - the JG has a picture of "correct" '64 carpet sections that go under the driver and passenger seats - they DO NOT have the rectangular cuts as per Kennedy's illustration.
So...... which is correct, the JG or Kennedy drawing? Also, if the Kennedy illustration is the correct pattern - does anyone have dimensions for the "rectangular" cut - what is the length, width, and where along the length of the rail does it start and stop.
I know I cannot be the first to ask this question - hopefully with the help of others - I will be the last.
