mid year lower front bumper bracket has sustained damage (small bends, gouge, paint loss) due to contact with floor jack when lifting from center cross member Jack point. We have made some bend repairs, buffed, used chassis paint to touch up. Is this acceptable? Should we be taking further steps?

Re: mid year front bumper bracket jack damage
Welcome Amos!
You should be okay. But....
Don't jack the car up under the crossmember unless you use a good strong thick wood block across the crossmember front to rear lips. Its thin steel will cave in.

There was a Corvette Forum member IIRC that has the loaner tool and will send it to folks for the price of postage both ways.
I'm no longer a member on that forum but perhaps somebody here who IS a member can research who that kind person is and their contact info.- Top
