1970 Accelerator Cable Retainer Color

I am seeing both white and black accelerator cable retainers for sale. Was the original retainer GM part no. 403929 white or black?

Hi Mark,

No, this is the plastic retainer on the end of the accelerator cable connecting it to the rod from the gas pedal.

Yes, the plastic retainer that goes on the end of the cable under the dash. I realize no one is probably ever going to judge it, but as long as I am going to buy a new one, I would like to get one the original color.

There are two sellers on ebay with NOS retainers, and they both have white ones. So I am going with white to be original.
