    69 SB Water Pump

So my Frankenvette is in need of a water pump....1969 350/350 no A/C, late October 69 production. Dr. Frankenstein apparently put on some aftermarket pump at some point long in the past. Per the TIM&JG it seems I need #3782608. So I am looking for good sources and most correct is a priority for me so painted engine orange...though easy enough to paint one if needed. Thinking ideal date code in the June-July-August 1969 range...but March or September would probably be acceptable. Anyone on here have them....or point me to a trusted source??; BTW also need a Tstat housing....sources for correct one of those?
    Thanks in advance!

FWIW: My 1967 Chevelle has a 608 water pump with no date, and it is a Flint built motor. Go figure... but there is a big loophole there for Keith.

            Re: 69 SB Water Pump

Just to follow up and seek confirmation of my plan....got the water pump off...see attached pix...that was on there since I bought the car in 1997. This pump appears to be/have correct casting number of 3782608 and ("incorrect") date code of K107 which I interpret as Nov 10, 1967. So this is well BEFORE the engine build date of oct 1, 1969. Given that AND the fact that it is not painted engine orange as it should be, I believe it is safe to assume it is not original...agree? I mean it IS theoretically possible that it was original ...and had the paint stripped off when pulled for a rebuild...but as I understand from the date code discussions....HIGHLY unlikely a water pump built 2 years prior would be installed in a vehicle.

So my plan would be to source one with correct casting number and "summer" 69 date code to be most correct..and sell this one as a core. Alternatively I "could" have this one rebuilt and paint it...but wouldn't that cost me in judging points? And if so how much in points? Still waiting for the new Judging Ref Manual to come out as I do not have one of those yet.

Edit to add...regarding the GM12...what does that signify...I mean I get the GM part...but is 12 one a sequence of this model pump?? or something like that?

I have no idea when this part no. was discontinued but the "7" could stand for 1977, 87, etc. so it could also have been produced much later as well.

Thanks Jeff. I meant to include that in my questioning....great point. And if 77, or 87 in this case...clearly not original!!
