    '63 temp gauge weirdness.

The temp gauge on my 63 points to ~180 with the power off, then acts normally with power on. My '66 acted differently. It would hold the temp it was at shutdown, and go to the cold indication with power on. Is this normal for the '63??

    Regards,

I would think the unpowered gauge would randomly drift to some static position that has nothing to do with the coolant temperature...
But I would have to confirm that on my 63 (original temp gauge)..
