    C2 66 Radio Repair-Charles Siegfried

    Hello,
Looking to have my 66 radio repaired/overhauled and can't seem to contact Charles Siegfried? His phone rings and rings? Anyone know if he's still in business? Other recommendations?

    Thanks, Tom in Ohio

    Tom,
If your not able to contact Charles Siegfried, then contact Charles Forgey who has a proven history of Corvette radio repair. His number is 423-344-8357.

A couple of years ago I had the same issue, contacting Siegfried.
I suspect health issues but have no inside information.
I would try Charles Forgey for sure.

I just finished a body off restoration on my 66 conv. and had my radio refurbished. It is Precision Stereo Repair in Utica NY 315-797-5219. His advertisement is in the March April Driveline on page 66 ( same page same year). For $150 he goes through the complete radio. I added the upgraded sound and auxiliary input so i can listen to the 60's on my siriusXM device. Best deal for the money.

Try http://www.kandbcorvetteproducts.com/ In Alpharetta, GA. They built new on/off volume switches for both my 63's and they are perfect. He has also done three other chapter members and they are happy. As I recall his price for a complete rebuild is about $225 with shipping.

K & B did my 63 AM/FM. They were excellent. Siegfried always did my radios but he was difficult to contact starting about 2 years ago. I moved on.

I got Robert at Precision Stereo Repair on the phone today and my radio will be on the way to him Monday morning. He told me he is very busy and couldn't promise a quick turn around but I'm in no big hurry. Very knowledgeable......even cautioned me about my antenna coaxial that need replaced. I guess the repos are not any good. I will start looking for a NOS cable or a nice used one.
                Thanks everybody for helping out.
