T-Tops rattle like maracas.

After having removed the trim and old weather stripping from the T-tops, the debris from a few of the plastic pegs that broke off and fell down into the cavity, as well as the bodies of the drilled out rivets from the stainless trim piece that now are in there too, the tops rattle like a pair of maracas. Does anybody have a slick solution for getting the debris out?
My initial thought was to cut a hole on the inside wall of the support structure where the headliner would hide the hole.

i just did the same thing, i am having my car painted and i removed the trim and weather stripping. What i did was carefully drilled a 5/8 inch hole where the reinstalled stainless trim would cover , not in support structure where the headliner is, but on the flat outer surface where the side weatherstripping and stainless are riveted in. Then i picked them up and shook them like maracas until the rivet heads fell out . Took lots of shaking but i did get them out
