    Horn Remove/Replacel For A C2 (1966)

Won't be too long before Spring is here in the MidWest. Planning my game plan for my 66 Coupe(Non-AC) project. Will
remove/replace my horns. This can be done from the top w/o removing the hood correct? Will hood have to
be decoupled from the hood support and pushed back for more clearance? My car is stored now in a bag
so I can not look at it to determine how much room I got for sure. Anything I should be aware of on this project? Thanks in advance>Larry

You will have to open the hood and fit your arms in the opening between the raised hood and the front valance. You should install a pin in the hood support to prevent the hood from accident closing on your arms.

Acces with the hood open is pretty good.. make sure you protect the hood and upper valance in case something slips ... some nice fluorescent lights is definitely a must also...

if you have a friend you can trust as your removing them and bringing them up between the hood and front have your friend hold the hood up past the detent in the support.

Update on this subject. Removed my repro's(Plastic Horns) today and installed my originals that where restored by
Gary from "The Horn Works" in Beloit WI. Did nice job on them and went in w/o any problems. Did have sufficient room
when hood is raised and pin put in the hood support. Tested and worked good. Quite a difference in the horn sound from
the plastic repro's as one would suspect. Thanks-Larry P.S. Not sure how judges would be able to see the dates on the
#'s> 487/488 horns unless they have some type of fancy mirrors.
