I agree. I should have explained better. You will need to adjust (lower) the torque wrench setting if you add any distance to the "efffective length" or "lever arm length" the torque wrench. Even if you mount the socket at 45 degrees.
Torque is defined as FORCE X LENGTH. So any change in LENGTH is directly proportional to the TORQUE or FORCE applied. The common units for Torque is in-lbs or ft-lbs. But the correct engineering term is lb-inch or lb-ft.
