    69 Tach cable repair kit

I got the above from Zip and it looks a little cheap. It is the type you cut to length and then crimp on a tip that fits in the distributor. The spring cable seems fine I am suspect of the crimped on tip.
Anyone have any experience with one of these kits?

    Thanks

Larry, at one time there use to be a company that made the cables cut to length, I don’t remember the name,(sorry) maybe someone here knows. and if you have the old one just measure it. I remember telling my friend and he had it done and to this day it’s still working. The repair kits are no good don’t waste your time. To much work to have it fail. A big reason tach cables fail is the angle leaving the firewall is to sharpe. Make sure the distributor is indexed correctly.

I found a GM tach cable and took the inner cable out, slide it into my sheathing and all good.

      Thanks

I believe these folks are still in business and can help you out.
