C3 Coil bracket finish

My '72 coil bracket had considerable surface rust. Wire wheeled it and looks pretty good, but not suitable for judging. Manual says galvanized. Don't know of anyone that can re-glavanize a part. Shall I have it zinc plated?

Bill you may find a repro for cheaper than finding someone to replate it.

Or a nice original. They are not difficult to find.

I agree with Patrick that the coil bracket was galvanized. They are not that difficult to find a good used original as the galvanize plating holds up fairly well with age.
